Spirit Week!
Spirit week! Megan made all the signs, there were about 15 of them. She was a cute nerd She had fun plaid shorts on and black short socks and great tennies. The back of her hat was pink plaid. She was also a fun Pepper shaker (Soraya was the salt ) and I did not get a picture of Austin. Still not sure what he was. Guess just Brandon Hungates twin.

Megan is in the TNT!
Megan is featured in the TNT this Sunday morning for her efforts towards Haiti. She decided to donate the proceeds that CWA makes for their Valegram drive next week to Haiti and was hoping other schools might be aspired to do the same. The article is on the front page of the South Sound section and is in combination with a family raising money as well. Great job Megan! Hope you raise a ton. What an awesome idea! She was planning on announcing this idea tomorrow in assembly at school, but guess the cat is out of the bag now. lol

A new Hank!
No, Hank is not going out in the boat. He is sporting his new device designed for pets after surgery. Did we hear about this amazing piece of equipment from our Vet? No, I heard it from someone I did not know, who overheard me complaining on Hank's behalf, of his Cone of Shame. Interesting that this has been around for awhile and the Vet never mentions this 35 dollar (but worth every penny) amazing little blue ring. He has been a different pup since we put it on 2 hours ago. He can see all around, grab his toys with his paws, maneuver through our furniture better, bash into the back of my calves better with out bruising me and drink his water down to the bottom of the bowl easier! But the best part is while he is sleeping he can rest his head on blue coziness and not have to press his face up against the inside of his smelly plastic cone! Yea!

The Cone of Shame!
Hank wants to resume all activities and doesn't want to wait the 2 weeks at all! He stares out the window, then goes to the bottom of the stairs and cries while he waits for Reed to come down and take him outside for an easy game of football. Poor guy. Life is soooo tough!

Stripped of his manhood, but still a STUD!
So.....to be or not to be neutered? Hank would say, "not to be" and I may not disagree with him. The Vet is a scary place, both for the pets and for the owners. For the owners, in that if you listen carefully, you can spot the sneaky, little tricky ways they try to add unnecessary allowances to your bill. Especially when you are under duress. For example, we were asked upon arrival, if we would like to pay an additional (to the already 300 dollars), 95 dollars for a pre-op blood test that would allow the Dr. to make a more "secure" choice on the kind of anesthesia that Hank might require during the neutering. What? You mean the fact that we chose that Vet initially, was not enough of a guarantee? If we wanted to cough up the additional $, then they would make a better selection. Seriously? What does that really mean? If we say no, then we would have to worry about his experience all because we wanted to save a few? I asked,"We picked you guys because we believed in you. Will our decision affect Hanks outcome?" She claims she never paid the extra for her pup, but it was our choice. I heard a smirk. I said Vets everywhere spay and neuter everyday. He is a typical 9 month old lab, how different could this procedure be? He is not having heart surgery. She said again, smirking( I swear) that it is our choice. I said, "no". We will NOT pay the extra so that you all can do an extra good job. We just want you to do as good a job as you always have done with the thousands of other Labs' balls you have removed. Nothing more, nothing less. Thank you.
Well, there was one more thing, they asked how much Hank weighed. Not knowing, she said they would weigh him because there would be an extra fee for dogs over 71 lbs. OMG! Luckily Hank was 67 lbs. (The "no" breakfast helped). We ended up saving $250! total and Hank is doing well. Besides the swanky cone, he is still happy and that tail keeps wagging. Again, too bad we couldn't pass on his cuteness. Knowing them, they probably froze his little swimmers for later.

Favorite Egypt guy!
This picture is of a guy in Egypt who had 2 front crooked teeth that pointed out and away from each other and he made a clicking sound when we all walked by. Super creepy and yet really funny.

Egypt
Love these.......
Check out the girl hiding and peaking behind the little girl leaning on the tree. She kept dodging me so I finally just took the picture and actually saw that I got her. So funny. Her face is somewhat scary though.

HOME! We love Europe...but LOVE that we live in the USA
Here are some pictures to share. I have so many and wanted to choose a few. They are not in any order or my favorites as I still have to preview all of them. Hoping to put all into a slide show with music. Again, it was an amazing trip/adventure and the best quality family time ever! We loved Europe and would return to some of the places we visited but then again, a few others that, though we were SO fortunate to have seen, we don't need to visit them again. The USA is definitely the place to be. Enjoy.
